Unfortunately, deterioration is an issue with all the clips currently on the market. Even the best clips with the longest life cycle only last about 24 to 36 months.

There is a lot of testing going on in the industry to come out with some longer lasting clips. We’ve tested dozens of different clips for our installation department and so far, have been very frustrated with the results.

This is an issue that is being addressed and several manufacturers are working on the problem, but so far there’s nothing in the immediate future coming out that would solve this issue.
