Twinkly Light Rundown
Every light strand will need a controller port.
Light Counts (2020 or Older):
- 1-port (wifi) can hold up to 250L or 400 lights with a Y Splitter (RGB/RGBW)
- 2-ports (wifi) can hold up to 400 RGBW lights or 500 RGB lights
- 6-ports (ethernet) can hold up to 1250 RGBW or 1500 RGB lights (controller must have a minimum of 750L connected at one time to work.) RGBW is still limited to 5 ports no matter the light count used.
Light Counts (2021 - 2022):
- 1-port (wifi) can hold up to 250L or 500 RGB/RGBW lights (With a Y-Splitter)
- 2-ports (wifi) can hold up to 500 RGB/RGBW lights
- 4-ports (wifi) can hold up to 1000 RGB/RGBW lights (Not compatible with 2020 or Older Lights)
- 6-ports (ethernet) can hold up to 1500 RGB/RGBW lights (controller must have a minimum of 750L connected at one time to work.)
Light Counts (2023 and newer):
- 1-port (wifi) not compatible with newer lights
- 2-ports (wifi) not compatible with newer lights
- 4-ports (wifi) not compatible with newer lights
- 1-port SPI Controller (wifi) up to 1000 lights on the one controller. Every 100' you will need a power injection. only compatible with SPI lights found here: Twinkly SPI
- 4-ports Plus Controller (wifi and ethernet) can hold up to 1000 RGBW Lights. Specific Light Sets are found here: 2023/2024 Twinkly Plus
- 6-ports (ethernet) can hold up to 1500 RGB/RGBW Pro Lights (controller must have a minimum of 750L connected at one time to work.)
Side notes
- RGB and RBGW can be grouped together as of 2023 however, the color hues will be different.
- Wifi controllers can only be grouped in groups of 10.
- Twinkly Plus/Pro are IP65 weather rated with a UV protected wire
- For the best user experience we recommend IOS device (Apple iPad, iPhone.. etc). Android not compatible with all controller types.
- IOS (Apple) devices must have IOS 15 or higher to be compatible with the app
